About the Facility

Shedding Oaks Cattery features purpose-built accommodation with spacious indoor pens and light, airy outside runs to ensure a comfortable environment for cats. Each pen is designed to minimize stress by preventing cats from seeing their neighbors. The cattery is centrally heated with heat pads in each bed for warmth. Food and water bowls are provided, alongside a selection of toys. While beds and bedding are available, bringing familiar items like unwashed jumpers, blankets, or towels is encouraged for cats to settle better. New customers are welcome to visit the premises during opening hours or by prior arrangement to discuss their cat’s individual needs.

My thirteen year old cat has never been away from home ... ever. However, a family emergency took me away for two weeks so I had to find a cattery quickly. The Shedding Oaks Cattery had a place and I liked how the owner was very welcoming. I found it to be a lovely environment: extremely clean, light & airy, warm and friendly etc, I was encouraged to look round and stay whilst my cat was settled and I felt very comfortable to leave my cat. When I arrived to collect my cat I was so thrilled to see how happy he was! He was affectionate towards the owner and generally a contented cat all round. I would recommend Shedding Oaks Cattery to anyone.

My Partner arranged for shedding Oak cattery to have her cat after a very serious operation. The only reason the operation could go ahead is because Shedding Oak agreed to look after the cat post op. However, on the day of the operation shedding Oak phoned to say that they couldn’t have the cat as they were going on holiday, they didn’t even sound at all apologetic. We are now left trying to find someone to look after the cat as we have been let down.
