I use Ambergate Kennels regularly for our two labs Bonnie and Hector who abandon me at reception when they see Adam, Mary and their staff! Both Bonnie and Hector trot off without a backward glance, tails wagging so fast I'm sure one day they will fall off! This is a reflection and testament to the excellent care and detail that the owners and staff manage our elderly pair of labs. The recently opened grooming parlour at their location returned Bonnie and Hector like film star dogs and Bonnie and Hector acted like they knew it too! A brilliant family friendly professional Kennel and we unreservedly recommend them for both boarding and grooming.

We rang up, explained we had three dogs, one of whom was an old boy who was incontinent at both places (wee and poo). If they took the dogs i would want two kennels because of his condition. I explained the routine and cleaning we went through every day with him and asked if they were willing to take him, i would totally understand if they couldn't. It was only for three days. I was told they could and it would not be a problem at all. Dropped the dogs off Friday morning and drove up north for a meeting on Saturday. In the morning we received a telephone call saying we had to find somewhere else for the dogs as the incontinence of the old boy was unacceptable. They were not there to pick his poo up all the time. I explained the above and was told they didn't care they wanted the dog removed otherwise they would call the RSPCA as the woman owner believed it was cruel...
