Located in a setting that fosters comfort and happiness, the kennel is operated by Margaret, who is celebrated for her genuine affection and dedication to all animals in her care. Pets like Paddy return home joyful and well-cared for, often sulking when they leave, which speaks volumes about the positive experience they have during their stay. Margaret’s personal touch extends to the families of the pets, including thoughtful gestures like giving Easter eggs to pet owners’ children. This level of personal care and attention makes Bark ‘n’ Purr a highly recommended choice for pet boarding, where pets are treated with utmost kindness and professionalism.]

Despite being recommended by a family member I was worried about leaving my dog Max as, apart from the very occasional overnight stay with my daughter, he is with me all day and every day and can be a fussy eater. I had no need to worry; when I collected him he was in great shape and was tearing around one of the large exercise areas having the time of his life with Mick. Both Margaret and Mick are genuine animal lovers and nothing is too much trouble for their guests. I highly recommend them to look after your pet.

Sadly let down on the very day of booking with no notification. I was left rallying around trying to sort alternative accommodation for my pet. Luckily after several phone calls, help was on hand otherwise my birthday trip would have to have been cancelled. I had a rather stressful morning and was late getting to my destination which wasn't good - due to plans that had been made for me, but at least I eventually got there! I later found out by somebody else that the owner Margaret had been poorly which was very unfortunate and I did sympathise, after all nobody likes being ill. However as a business I would have expected a phone call to apologise about the inconvenience, but unfortunately no contact was ever made which I found very disappointing.
